Background An Ohio native, Gregory J. Rufo was born in Canton on April 17, 1954. After graduating from Central Catholic High School in 1973, he attended John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH. At John Carroll University he was a star member of the Collegiate Policy Debate Team, and a successful student named to the Who's Who in American Universities. He met and married his wife, Ali in 1974, and graduated from John Carroll in 1976 with a B.A. in Economics.
After college, Greg Rufo attended the Akron University School of Law, where he was an active member for the Law School's Moot Court team. In 1983 he recieved his J.D. from Akron University School of Law. That same year he was admitted to the Ohio Bar, the U.S. District Court and the Northern District of Ohio.
